Welcome to Lucky Dog Rescue and Adoption Center
Saving dogs Lakeside for over 20 Years

A 'lucky dog' is saved, one adoption at a time.
Lucky Dog Rescue Needs More Helping Hands!
Urgent Need!!!
Since April, 18 dogs — mostly puppies — have been dropped off at Lucky Dog Rescue. We consider 25 dogs to be capacity; however, we now have 32 dogs in our care, the most ever. Plus we have had only 6 adoptions over the summer, which is very low.
Why Volunteers Are Needed
To give our dogs the best care possible, we need 5–6 volunteers a day. Right now, we average only 3 volunteers a day.
This means:
-
Shorter walks or no walks at all;
-
Less social time for the dogs; and
-
Longer, harder, and more stressful days for both our dogs and our team.
How You Can Help?
-
Walk dogs and give them the exercise they need;
-
Socialize puppies so they grow into adoptable companions;
-
Help with feeding and fresh water; and
-
Assist with kennel cleaning so every dog has a healthy space.
Join Us
Even a couple of hours makes a big difference! No experience is needed — just bring patience, compassion, and a love for dogs. The more hands we have, the happier and healthier our dogs will be. Together, we can turn “unlucky” beginnings into happy tails.
